Question 1

Does this BYD Seal 07 come with a factory warranty in the UAE?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this 2025 BYD Seal 07 Design Hybrid comes with a full manufacturer warranty that is valid across all authorized BYD service centers in the UAE. The standard factory warranty for new BYD vehicles covers 5 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first, and the hybrid battery pack is covered by an extended 8-year warranty for extra peace of mind. All warranty coverage is transferable to subsequent owners, which adds to the vehicle’s resale value for future buyers if you decide to sell later.

Question 2

Can this hybrid run on electric-only for city driving in UAE?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the BYD Seal 07 1.5T hybrid has a small electric-only driving range that is perfect for short city commutes. You can travel up to 50 km on pure electric power on a full charge, which covers most daily trips around Dubai or Abu Dhabi without using any petrol. For longer trips, the petrol engine automatically engages to extend range, eliminating the range anxiety that comes with fully electric vehicles. This makes it ideal for UAE drivers who want electric efficiency for short trips without needing public charging for longer journeys.

Question 3

Is this a GCC specification vehicle for the UAE market?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this BYD Seal 07 is a GCC specification vehicle that was built specifically to meet the climate and regulatory requirements of the UAE and the wider Gulf region. GCC-spec vehicles have enhanced cooling systems designed to handle the extreme summer heat of the UAE, which prevents overheating and extends the lifespan of engine and battery components. They also come with the correct regional infotainment software, warranty coverage, and parts compatibility, which avoids the issues that can come with imported non-GCC parallel vehicles.

Question 4

What is the annual maintenance cost for this BYD Seal 07 hybrid in the UAE?

Accepted Answer

The average annual maintenance cost for the BYD Seal 07 in the UAE is between 1,200 AED and 1,800 AED, which is significantly lower than most mid-size luxury sedans from European or Japanese brands. Scheduled service intervals are every 10,000 km, and standard service includes oil changes, filter replacements, and multi-point inspections. BYD has been expanding its service network across the UAE over the past few years, so you can easily find authorized service centers in all major emirates from Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah, and labor rates are competitive.

Question 5

How much trunk space does the BYD Seal 07 have for luggage and shopping?

Accepted Answer

The BYD Seal 07 has 450 liters of trunk space, which is enough to fit 2 large check-in suitcases and 2 carry-on bags for airport trips, or multiple large grocery bags for weekly family shopping in the UAE. The rear seats also fold down 60/40 if you need to carry longer bulkier items like furniture or sports equipment, expanding the total cargo space significantly. Unlike some larger hybrids, the battery pack is positioned under the floor so it does not intrude on trunk space, so you get almost the same cargo capacity as a non-hybrid mid-size sedan.
