Question 1

How much driving range can I expect from this EV6 in Dubai's summer heat?

Accepted Answer

In typical Dubai summer conditions, you can expect approximately 320-350 km of real-world driving range from this 58 kWh Kia EV6, down from the 394 km WLTP official rating. This reduction is normal for all electric vehicles in high temperatures, as air conditioning uses more battery power and battery chemistry is impacted by extreme heat. Even with this reduction, the range is still sufficient for 3-4 days of average urban commuting between charges, and fast charging capabilities mean you can quickly top up when needed on longer trips around the UAE.

Question 2

Does this 2022 EV6 still have remaining manufacturer warranty?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this 2022 Kia EV6 still has the remainder of Kia's standard 5-year/100,000 km new car warranty, plus an 8-year/150,000 km warranty for the high-voltage battery pack, which is standard for Kia EVs sold in the UAE. This means you will be covered for any manufacturing defects and most common issues for the next 3 years of ownership, and the battery is protected against capacity degradation below 70% for 8 years, giving you full peace of mind for your electric vehicle investment in the UAE market.

Question 3

Can I charge this EV6 at public charging stations in the UAE?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this Kia EV6 uses the CCS charging standard which is compatible with nearly all public charging networks across the UAE, including EV Green, Plugtn, and ADNOC distribution charging stations. It supports up to 180 kW DC fast charging, which allows you to charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes, making it faster than many competing electric vehicles on the UAE market. There are thousands of public chargers across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other Emirates, so you will always have convenient charging options for long trips.

Question 4

What is the maintenance schedule for the Kia EV6 in the UAE?

Accepted Answer

The Kia EV6 has a much simpler maintenance schedule than petrol-powered vehicles, with no oil changes, spark plug replacements, or transmission services required. Recommended maintenance for UAE conditions includes a routine inspection every 10,000 km, which covers brake pad and disc checks, tire rotation, cabin air filter replacement, and battery health monitoring. This keeps annual maintenance costs very low, typically under 1000 AED per year for most owners, making it much more affordable to own and run than comparable petrol SUVs in the Emirates.

Question 5

Is the EV6 a good family car for Dubai?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Kia EV6 is an excellent family car for Dubai, with a compact SUV body that is easy to park in city garages and mall parking lots, while still offering plenty of space for 5 adults and luggage. The cabin has ample legroom in both the front and rear rows, plus multiple USB charging ports for kids' devices, dual-zone climate control to keep everyone comfortable in summer heat, and a large cargo area that fits strollers, school bags, and shopping with ease. It also comes with a full suite of active safety features to protect your family on the road, making it a very practical choice for Dubai families.
